The next version of HTML will introduce dozens of new tags, new APIs and new techniques that will allow web developers to focus on content and structure when building their applications.
In this talk, Dylan Beattie looks at some of the new features that HTML 5 offers. He'll show how you can start using many of these features today, and examine some of the techniques you can use to support these new features in down-level browsers.
Finally, Dylan will look at some of the new capabilities that are coming in the next version of Microsoft's ASP.NET MVC framework, and how you can combine these with HTML 5's extensive support for forms and interactive web applications to streamline your apps and still deliver a great user experience .
The event is free but up-front registration is required. Register at http://skillsmatter.com/event/open-source-dot-net/the-future-of-web-development-html-5-and-aspdot-net-httpaspdot-net-mvc-2
